Associate Professor Genevieve Steiner

Associate Professor Genevieve Steiner is an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow and Director of Research at the NICM Health Research Institute where she leads the NICM Neurocognition and HEADBOX Labs. Her cognitive neuroscience research spans the early detection, prevention, and treatment of memory and thinking problems in older people with the aim of reducing dementia risk and improving quality of life.

Dr Genevieve Dwyer

Genevieve is a Senior Lecturer in the Physiotherapy Program at the University of Western Sydney and a paediatric physiotherapist. Her current research endeavours are focused upon physical activity behaviour in children (with and without disability), outcomes in infants born preterm and novel approach to assessment and training of balance skills in children.

As a social worker, George has a demonstrated clinical expertise as a psychotherapist with over fifteen years in private practice specialising in sex therapy.

Professor Gerald Muench

Gerald Muench is a Professor of Pharmacology in the School of Medicine. His major project focus is on Alzheimer's disease with a special emphasis on carbonyl stress in age-related and neurodegenerative processes, and also looking at brain inflammation as a major progression factor in Alzheimer's disease, now widely accepted.

Dr Ghufran Alhassani

Dr Ghufran Alhassani is an associate lecturer in the School of Health Sciences. Ghufran’s research interests are in acute and chronic pain, chronic disease, non-invasive brain stimulation, neuroplasticity. She is also interested in disease prevention and management in culturally and linguistically diverse populations, with ongoing project collaborations in cancer, food security, and dementia.
