Biography

Dr Jannine Bailey is a Senior Lecturer, Rural Health and Research at the Bathurst Rural Clinical School, Western Sydney University. Her early research was in enteric microbiology and antibiotic resistance. Since 2013 she has been involved in public health and health services research, with particular focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and broader rural health issues, including health workforce and health service delivery in rural communities. She has expertise in quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods research.

Jannine also has a strong interest in rural research capacity building both within the health system and in the community. She is a member of the steering committee of the Western NSW Health Research Network (WHRN), and works collaboratively with other local researchers in running the Bathurst Research Appreciation Group (BRAG).
