Dr Elisabeth Duursma

Biography
Elisabeth is a Research Theme Fellow in Work and Education at TeEACH/School of education and joined WSU in 2023. She has worked in the Netherlands and the U.S. and previously worked at UOW as a senior lecturer in Education. She received her PhD in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University. Her research focuses on father involvement and impact on child development, in particularly language, literacy and cognitive development. Elisabeth is an active member of the Australian Fatherhood Research Consortium and collaborates with colleagues from UON, Deakin, QUT and UniSA. Her work is largely disciplinary focusing on education, psychology, sociology and nursing.
