Biography
Dr Andy Grainger is a lecturer in sport development in the School of Health Sciences. His research and teaching focuses on the sociocultural and sociohistorical analysis of sport, physical culture, and physical activity.
Andy's current research explores the intersections of sport policy, sport diplomacy, and the FIFA Women’s Football World Cup, including the myths and realities of major sport event ‘legacy’ and the gender and symbolic politics of the tournament.
